The Office of Professionalism (OOP) offers confidential, one‑on‑one coaching to support faculty professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement. Coaching is available through a network of vetted external physician coaches as well as certified internal WCM faculty coaches, providing flexible 3‑, 6‑, or 12‑month engagements tailored to individual and departmental needs.

Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP)
The Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP) is a monthly series of workshops designed for new faculty in year two, three or four of their faculty appointments. Skills acquired through this program provide early career faculty with tools to accomplish their primary career goals and lead to success as an academician.

The Blackwell Society
The Blackwell Society was founded at Weill Cornell Medicine in the Spring of 2021 on the 200th anniversary of Elizabeth Blackwell’s birth to honor the legacy of Drs. Elizabeth and Emily Blackwell, and to connect and support our faculty. Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell was the first female physician in the United States and together with her sister, Emily, founded the New York Infirmary for Indigent Women and Children which evolved into today’s New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Since its creation, the Blackwell Society has planned and hosted near monthly events to engage faculty members of WCM on issues important to the professional development of faculty, including Well-Being, Salary Equity and Leadership.

Thought Leadership Program
The Thought Leadership Training Program is a collaborative initiative between the Office of External Affairs’ Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs division and the Office of Professionalism that equips Weill Cornell Medicine faculty to communicate effectively with the public about medicine and science. Offered at no cost to full‑time faculty and geared toward early‑career faculty while remaining open to all ranks, the program provides hands‑on media and communication training through three in‑person courses totaling eight hours. Led by the WCM public relations team and external experts, the program supports faculty engagement across multiple media platforms.

Women of Weill Cornell Medicine (WoW) Leadership Networking
The Women of Weill Cornell Medicine (WoW) Leadership Networking Program is a dynamic, cohort-based experience designed for faculty and staff leaders across WCM. Through monthly meetings, networking opportunities, and shared dialogue, participants explore the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women in leadership roles. The program fosters a supportive community, encourages professional growth, and strengthens leadership connections across the institution. The program is open to WCM faculty and staff in leadership roles with at least one direct report. Participation is limited, and interested leaders are encouraged to apply; submission of interest does not guarantee placement.
