  • Resident/PGY-2, Pediatrics

Research topic(s)/interest(s): Neonatal immune development and how the microbiome is established

My goal is to become a practicing neonatologist and independent research investigator studying the role of the immune system in shaping ongoing organ development and pathophysiology in premature neonates. The program will help me to continue to develop, not only my research questions and skills, but also importantly gaining the skills to run my own research

  • Resident/PGY1, Internal Medicine

Research topic(s)/interest(s): Inflammatory signaling in obesity-induced atrial fibrillation

I am excited by the training opportunities, protected research time, and, in particular, the mentorship and guidance that are provided by the Tri-I StARR program; I have always found research and training in research to be a collaborative effort, and look forward to the connections and relationships that I will form as part of the program.
